Licensing Library
The Sentinel RMS licensing library API allows developers to implement licensing for their applications. The licensing API are embedded in the source code of Developer application. You need to call the Sentinel RMS licensing API functions to implement licensing. There are three sets of licensing libraries contained in the Sentinel RMS SDK:
>Standalone Licensing Library For standalone operation without requiring a network License Manager.
>Network Licensing Library For any operation requiring a network License Manager.
>Integrated Licensing Library For both standalone and network operations. We recommend using this library if you would like to support both standalone and network license management. Even if you are not sure whether you need to support both, you may still consider using this library for future expansion. Applications linked with this client library can obtain standalone licenses from a local file or network licenses from a network License Manager. There are special control flags enabling developers to customize the behavior of choosing between standalone and network libraries.
There are licensing libraries contained in the SCL Add-on package as well. Refer to Which Licensing Library to Use? for details.
